Rainbow Trout

Best fishing method and bait: casting or trolling lures, eggs, powerbait, etc.

Common Carp
Maximum size (length and weight): 32 inches, 20 pounds
Legal size: no minimum
Average and maximum life expectancy: 10-20 years
Stocked or not stocked: not stocked
Number stocked in 2008: 0
Best fishing method and bait: dough and cheese balls casted out and left near the bottom.

Largemouth Bass
Maximum size (length and weight): 2-3 pounds
Legal size: no minimum
Average and maximum life expectancy: 8-10 years

Best fishing method and bait: casting bass jigs, rubber worms etc over weed beds or near woody cover.

Channel Catfish

Best fishing method and bait: anything smelly casted out and left near the bottom.

Brown Trout

Best fishing method and bait: casting or trolling worm, lures, eggs, etc.

Green Lake Stocking Plan for 2011

During 2011, two types of rainbow trout are being stocked by the Washington Fish and Wildlife Service. No brown trout are planned. Trout will be the only fish stocked again this year. There may be a few catfish left in the lake, and even fewer muskies, and those that remain have become quite large.
